Pool requirements also need to be followed for inflatable "temporary" pools.  Any pool, hot tub, spa, whirlpool or other structure intended for swimming or recreational bathing, with a water depth of more than 24 inches, requires a building permit for installation.  This includes inflatable pools for seasonal use.  Please contact the Zoning Officer or Building Inspector for more detailed information.

The Zoning & Code Officer is responsible for performing a variety of technical duties in support of the Town's local code enforcement program. This includes responsibilities such as monitoring and enforcing a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, land use, nuisance housing, building codes, health and safety, blight, graffiti, water waste, and other matters of public concern; and serves as a resource and provides information on Town regulations to property owners, residents, businesses, the general public, and other Town departments and divisions.  The Town of Darien Zoning Law is available in the Documents and Forms under the Quick Links in the menu along the right side.
